ECCC, Fan Expo Vancouver Icon by the Sea and FCBD Cape Town

Time is really flying here at studio de Lange!

In two weeks Megan and I jet off to Vancouver and Seattle for a little holiday and a LOT of conventions!

It's going to be crazy! We will be attending Emerald City Comicon in Seattle in two weeks and then a week later we'll check out Fan Expo Vancouver.
ECCC is out first big con we're attending we're super excited! Even though everyone seems to only know about San Diego Comic Con, ECCC is the biggest comic convention in the north west. The guest list is a bit overwhelming and I'm still working on my must-see list for the show. There's actually so much going at that show I don't even know where to begin. It's going to be tough choosing between panels, comic books signings, and all kinds of stuff happening at the same time.
So many comic artists that I look up to are going to be there, big house and indie. I suspect I'll be coming back with a whole new perspective on making comics.

As we get back to Durban, it's time for Icon by the Sea!

I'll have a stall there for all three days (10, 11 and 12 April) and I'll have a lot of goodies on show:
-Gallery of original art on display and for sale including original pages from Gofu and Tomica.
-Gofu and Tomica comics for sale, Including the official launch of Tomica #2!
-Comic book signings by myself and Dave.
-Art prints for sale
-Drawing demonstration - come watch me draw Tomica and Gofu comic pages, live!
-Pre-show commissions - three slots available at a very special Icon By The Sea price of R400 each. (three slots available - must be collected at Icon). If you order a UO Comics character, you get a free UO Comics art print of your choice!- email or pm me for details.

Then just three weeks later...

Free Comic Book Day Cape Town!!

Keep an eye on this blog for more details about UO Comics at FCBD Cape Town!

Red Eye Durban February 2015

This previous Friday UO Comics exhibited at the third Red Eye Durban. It was the biggest gallery exhibition I've ever put together.
I had over 24 framed pieces of comic art, including original comic pages from Gofu and Tomica on display and for sale.

Check out the huge space I had at the amazingly beautiful venue: Durban City Hall.
(apologies for the bad photos - I really must take a real camera along ext time...)
It was also good to spend time with fellow comic creator, the young Findlay, Rapscallion, Atkinson.

Many of these original artworks are still available. Serious enquiries, please contact me.
